Fifty years later, “the problem that has no name” has both a name and numbers, but little seems to have changed.

Very interesting. I’ve heard people complain about a perception of bias that doesn’t play out in the stats. In reality, there are few reliable stats available, especially in an age where there are as many reviewers as there are people who can be arsed. So it’s good to have some figures from the people with the big audiences.

O’course, there’s also a question of how many women get published to be reviewed, and how many submit, but this is one data stream.

Anyway, I’ve been keeping stats for my own reviews here, in case you’re interested.
